February 1, 2025 — In an exciting and vibrant turn of events, the renowned Harmony Collective Ensemble has unveiled its groundbreaking 2025 concert season, promising an unforgettable mix of classical mastery, contemporary experimentation, and multicultural influence. The ensemble, known for its innovative approach to music, is set to perform at prestigious venues around the world, offering a unique blend of classical music and modern soundscapes.
Founded in 2012 by a group of like-minded musicians and composers, the Harmony Collective Ensemble has always pushed the boundaries of traditional music. Under the direction of conductor Elise Carver, the group’s new season introduces an ambitious series of performances designed to appeal to both classical purists and adventurous music lovers.
“This season is about finding new ways to connect the audience with music,” said Carver, as she discussed the ensemble’s upcoming projects. “We’ve carefully curated a repertoire that celebrates both the old and the new—paying tribute to the classical greats while exploring fresh, experimental compositions from a diverse range of voices.”
Among the highlights of the season is the ensemble’s collaboration with electronic music innovator and sound designer, Kai Mendoza, whose works have gained attention for their bold use of technology in traditional settings. Mendoza’s piece, “Resonance,” will debut at the Royal Opera House in London on March 15, blending live strings with digital soundscapes, pushing the boundaries of what a classical performance can sound like.
The ensemble’s 2025 season also includes an exploration of world music, with a series of performances that fuse traditional instruments from across the globe. The group will collaborate with artists from various cultural backgrounds to offer a fusion of sounds that draw from the rich traditions of Africa, South Asia, and Latin America. This cultural melting pot promises to bring audiences on a journey of sound and rhythm that crosses both time and geography.
“We want to create something that feels universal,” Carver continued. “Music has always been a way to bring people together, and by weaving together different musical traditions, we hope to foster understanding and create something truly special.”
In addition to their concert schedule, the Harmony Collective Ensemble has announced plans to release a new album later this year. The album will feature both studio recordings of the new compositions being performed and live recordings from the ensemble’s upcoming international tour.
Critics have already expressed anticipation for the 2025 season, praising the ensemble for its bold choice of repertoire and commitment to artistic innovation. The Musical Review describes the ensemble’s work as “a fearless pursuit of new sounds” and lauds its ability to “transform the concert hall into a space of dynamic creative expression.”
